Blue Skies at Lake Anna

Blue skies was a wonderful place for the family to wrap up the summer. We celebrated two birthdays, paddle boarded and kayaked. Great place for the kids because of being in a no wake zone. It was very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room for all six of us.

This was our 5th year staying at Blue Skies. The house is always clean and Kate very responsive. The location is probably the best on the lake. No steps, a nice little beach for the younger grandchildren and water deep enough for the older grandkids to jump off the dock. Nice large yard so you don’t feel crowded. We will be returning again.

Six summers later, this place still feels like our happy place. We love everything about it—the location, the amenities, the convenience of docking the boat at the house, and spending our days on the water kayaking, fishing, and making memories with family (and our doodle!). The home is always spotless and very well maintained. It’s become a tradition we all look forward to every year, and we can’t wait to be back again.

We had a wonderful time. The kitchen/living room area is awesome as well as the outside area (grill, firepit, etc.). The dock was great to keep the boat at. Easy to find and the house was super clean and well stocked. We would absolutely recommend this place and/or stay again!

We have stayed at Blue Skies for, I believe, 8 years in a row now. The house remains in good shape and meets our needs. It is a short, easy walk to the lakefront and the dock has ample room for dock time. Kate is extremely responsive to any issues and does a great and appreciated job maintaining the small beach waterfront which is perfect for young kids.

Nothing speaks stronger than looking through these reviews and seeing all the repeat customers.

We’ve been visiting lake Anna each summer for the last 6 years and this is one of our favorite spots. Great mid-lake location and the house is clean and well maintained. We’re looking forward to another stay!

Our family loves to stay at Blue Skies at Lake Anna. We are already looking forward to returning next summer. The house is always clean and provides all the creature comforts we need. We love the close access to the lake and peaceful location. We love the pool table and kayaks. We spend most of our time on the large and amazing dock. Kate and Steve, thank you for always being so accommodating.

This is our 5th summer at Blue Skies at Lake Anna. We love the location and the ability to bring our doodle with us too. The owners continue to make improvements every year, and it just keeps getting better. We rent a boat and can dock at the house, fish, kayak, float, relax and enjoy quality time as a family. We’ve event been know to bring the portable badminton set to use on the huge patio 🙂 Looking forward to our next trip already!

Blue Skies was an ideal lake rental for our family of 4 + 1 friend + 2 dogs. We really maximized being right on the lake, taking advantage of not only a large dock for the kids to jump off, but also a boat slip for the pontoon we rented, and beach-entry for the dogs to run in and swim. Loved that there were 2 kayaks with paddles for our use, as well as lots of extra outdoor chairs to sit around the fire pit and night. The house was spacious, immaculately clean and tidy, and quite comfortable. The air conditioning worked great, too. The kitchen has literally anything and everything you could think of (I even baked a cake for my son’s birthday and found all the equipment I needed for it). Kate is very organized and efficient and responsive. She even provided us with towels and sheets for our dogs! We’ll definitely be back to Blue Skies!
